 Interactive Calendar Connects University With Key Constituents. Trumba Corporation, a developer of innovative online calendaring solutions, announced today that Kansas State University at Salina has selected Trumba(R) Connect to power its online event calendar.
Trumba Connect is an online event calendaring solution that helps organizations increase event awareness and attendance and better connects them with their audiences through a comprehensive suite of tools that includes a hosted, interactive web calendar, email, and reporting services.
K-State at Salina is home to the College of Technology and Aviation, the newest and fastest growing of all the colleges at Kansas State University. It is using Trumba Connect to promote campus events such as department meetings, dean's office meetings, open houses, training seminars, etc. It also plans to use Trumba Connect as a tool for reaching prospective students by automatically sending them event information about high school visit days via calendar email.
 Trumba Connect enables K-State at Salina to create multiple calendars while still maintaining the University's brand look and feel. Visitors to the
site can submit events, add events to their personal calendars, sign up for event updates and reminders via email and text message, and forward event information to friends.
"We were looking for a calendaring solution that would enable us to create an interactive, feature-rich online event calendar for our Web site," said Michael Oetken, Webmaster/Graphic Designer at Kansas State University at Salina. "Trumba Connect's advanced functionality gives us the ability to easily manage the calendar and, at the same time, helps us to stay better connected to our key constituents."
K-State at Salina plans to expand its online event calendar to include sub-calendars to promote student life and intramural athletic events. Once these calendars have been created, the event information from each one can be automatically integrated into the University's main event calendar.
